The Fake Terrorist Case About The Liberty Seven

by Arno on April 24, 2008

I remember when this happened and I first saw it in the news. A few crackheads from Miami were allegedly planning to blow up buildings. I laughed it off at the time because it was so obvious to me that these guys could never have planned anything like it. The real reason it even made the news was the fact that the government needs something to show to population that gives credence to their concept of there being a terrorist threat to this country. The only threat to this country are the people in the government and believe me when I say they can reak a lot more havoc on our population than another set of cave-inhibiting angry arabs.

The ‘funny’ part about this story is the fact that they can’t successfully convict these alleged terrorists. They’ve already had two mistrials and they’re it look like they’re going for a third.

As more details get revealed about the case it becomes more and more obvious that the whole case is a complete farce and has been from the very beginning. I remember talking to a friend at the time and telling him how unbelievable I thought the story was, however I could tell that he took the story in “as-is” - no room for doubt, and why bother doubting - doubting causes using extra energy because you have to dig a little deeper than your usual shallow self.

Feeling Helpless, Not As Helpless As The People In Darfur Though…

by Arno on April 23, 2008

I live a busy life just like everyone else and I can do what everyone else is doing - which is ignoring everything around me. Instead, I’m in the process of finding out what it is that I can realistically do - what can I undertake that will have a positive impact on someone’s life?

I think I’m going to start sponsoring a child in Africa, see what I can to donate money to missions in Darfur, here’s a video to get things started.

I’ll be adding more articles for this topic - A to show I’m not full of shit and B to keep track of my actions. I invite anyone to join in. It’s time we stop ignoring our surroundings.

Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts Were Utterly Unconvincing

by Arno on April 23, 2008

If you’re wondering how this article fits in - it doesn’t! I just keep seeing this stupid ad for “Charlie Wilson’s War” where they keep saying what a great performance Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks deliver in their recent movie.

I’m no expert when it comes to movies but I think I can judge good acting. The very first scene of the movie I already thought how unconvincing Tom Hank’s accent was and moreover his actual role. The same is the case with Julia Roberts who is a bad cast for this flick.

Nazi Style Raids in Nashville

by Arno on April 22, 2008

FBI Raids Businesses in Nashville.

I’m done mincing words, trying to be somewhat politically correct about things. I’ve had it - I’ve had it for a long time but somehow I thought I had to stick to some kind of self imposed rules here. I’m through with that. Here’s the deal: your government is turning into a Fascist regime - it’s always been like that, but it’s getting more and more obvious was time progresses. The above article describes how Federal Agents raided several business in Nashville on the grounds that terrorists some times disguise their operations in small type operations. NO Shit!! They also shit and piss at times - are the fed going to follow us to the John? I can’t stand it any longer - I’m so sick of people not getting up and saying “I will no longer tolerate this bullshit” - Do your damn homework people! This is EXACTLY how the nazis started their work of suppression. First they’ll scare you and your business and when they come next week to take away your neighbor you’re not going to say anything because you fear that you could be next.

Remember “don’t tase me bro?” - If that had happened in any other democratic country in the world there probably would have been riots - in this country - you have people like Joe Scarborough from MSBNC argue that you have to obey police officers and that that’s the law. Again, do your damn home work people!!! I don’t have to obey any police officers as long as I’m not breaking the law. Police officers are paid by the taxes we pay yet they act like they have the authority to harass their citizens.

I’ve thought long and hard about this topic and why so many people in this country don’t have any compassion for those not so fortunate and it’s like this: all the well-to-do people live in private communities! behind locked gates! behind security walls! Just like in South Africa by the way, where all the well off white people live behind walls, to protect themselves from the people they’re exploiting. This is what you’re seeing in this country as well.

So the feds go in and raid a bunch of businesses in Nashville - I’m sure this country was kept much safer due to their actions. Isn’t it funny how the people and small business get harassed, but Enron and other large corporations can force everyone of us to bend over and take the broomstick up the ass?

While we all are noticing that the dollar buys less and less material goods, Dick Cheney has already setup his personal exile location - Dubai. All you blinded republicans, all you wanna be big business people - I just want to know what you’re going to do in this country when it’s all in shambles - when the large corporations have moved their headquarters out of this country because quite frankly they couldn’t care less. When will you people realize that it’s all a giant farce? Do the Hannity’s and Limbaugh’s of the world really believe that large corporations care where their factory sits? The only goal a corporation has, is to make profits and it will go anywhere those profits are the biggest.

I’m totally across the board on this one but I’m getting to the point where I’m having a hard time bottling up my anger, dealing with all the sheople in this country and dealing with it all in general.

MSNBC: From Hardball Straight to Conviction

by Arno on April 15, 2008

Am I the only one who finds it rather add that you watch Chris Matthews on his show Hardball, and without a commercial interruption (!!!!) they go straight into their next show “Conviction“. This show is 100% dedicated to filming in prisons or state penitentiaries. Seeing that everything in this society seems to be turned into reality show it’s no surprise that prison inmates have become the subject for a TV show. It’s more the contrast of how MSNBC transitions from political discussions into a close up view of murderers, rapists, drug dealers and other outcasts of society that really makes me wonder.

Obviously they don’t have any solid programming for the rest of the night so they bring in this garbage - I’m still reading the credits for hardball and it says “Viewer discretion is advised” and I’m fearing that Chris Matthews is going to do something drastic - instead I find myself a California Prison. Interesting way of preparing me for the night.

The US Guide On Lettings Terrorists Win

by Arno on April 14, 2008

When I heard of the attack on the World Trade Center, I was on mIRC talking to friends in Germany. I didn’t have TV service at the time so I had to go over to the neighbor and watch the footage there. One of the very first links that was passed around after 9/11 was this one:

Terrorists Win

First of all, for those people that don’t get the picture, it’s a screenshot from one of the most popular multiplayer games ever - Counter Strike. The game consists of a rather simple scenario - Terrorists are locked in somewhere and the opposing team has to go in and complete the objective - which in every case consists of killing the terrorists and keeping them from installing and detonating a bomb. Every time the terrorists win, the screen shows the map that was played on, in addition to the text that you see in the 9/11 picture. Of course there was never a game that looked like that - this was a montage that couldn’t have fit any better.

I’m not sure where the original link came from, but it was definitely not from anyone I knew in the US. Considering how fresh the “wound” was I think it would have been difficult to find anyone at the time that would have agreed with the statement of the picture. I’ve always had a rather critical view of the world, not just the United States, and even for me that picture seemed a bit harsh.

Fast forward to now, the year 2008. Seven years have gone by where we’ve had to listen to the shallow retoric of the Republicans trying to make one argument after another for war. 4,000 men have been lost, oil prices are through the roof, Airlines are going broke, our economy is completely in the dumps - could Bin Laden have asked for anything more? I won’t get all conspiratorial on you by claiming that this was the intention all along, but that point definitely has to be raised. What’s even more interesting to observe, is the fact that Bush actually says that terrorists will win if democrats are in power. I have some news for your Mr. President: The Terrorists have won - I’m just still trying to figure out who the terrorists are.

It’s almost like a the Bear knocked himself in the face with a sledge hammer while trying to kill the bee around his nose.

Maddow Schools Scarborough

by Arno on April 7, 2008

It feels nice to see reason and superior argumentational skills be added to the MSNBC cader. If you watch the video and listen exactly to what Rachael Maddow is saying, it’s quite clear she’s just conducting a normal argument. When she tries to comment on John McCain, Scarborough cuts her off and tells her she has no knowledge of the deeper parts of the Republican party. As she continues over his interruptions, you can hear him say “whatever Rachael” - I say whatever too sometimes but I think if I were on TV I’d spare the audience of this clear sign of not having a good reply.

Rachael then continues to show very clearly how John McCain has done a 180 on most of the strong issues he stands for and again you can hear Scarborough in the back saying “for the love of god rachael” - for the love of god what? for the love of god stop making me look like an idiot? or would the completion of that sentence say “for the love of god you come on this show, yes I know Keith always has you on as commentator, but for the love of god this is a men’s conversation and not some get together of the Gay and Lesbian group” - yes of course that quoted part was purely made up but I wonder how far from the truth it really is.

All I can say is that it’s extremely refreshing to see someone like Rachael Maddow on MSNBC who obviously hasn’t been in the TV business for very long. What I do know from her own show on Air America is that she’s a work horse that doens’t stop short of the truth. With someone like her on the air you could be sure that no garbabe reports would be going over her lips, nor would she hold back in discussions - as seen in the video.

Trucker’s Striking, People Foreclosing, We’re going Broke

by Arno on April 3, 2008

I’m sure I’m not that only one that’s realizing this - except for the politicians of course since they don’t have to worry about their paycheck. As a matter of fact they’re not tied to any performance quotas, nor do they do piece work though they do like to pass this type of legislation to keep others from doing what they’re doing, which is slacking.

When I moved to this country in 1999 gas prices were at about $1.30 - for me, who was used to $6-8.00 /gal I thought that was a joke and I said at the time, there’s a lot of leeway here for the government in terms of pricing and taxes. In europe, in particular Germany, most of the money people spend at the pump is for taxes - the large part of the cost beyond the raw cost of oil goes towards taxes for infrastructures, etc. In this country however it seems slightly different. Since we’re a country that doesn’t believe too greatly in taxes, we instead have a system that gives oil companies the leeway for profit - instead of leaving some margin for the government. So instead of having a dollar per gallon go to environmental protection, the reconstruction of roads, repairs of bridges, it all goes to the oil companies. The truly amazing part is that the executives of the major Oil companies actually went to congress to tell them why they can’t stop subsidizing the oil industry due to the high exploration costs. Tell ya what - it costs me money to get to my job too and I’m not seeing any government grants flying my way paying for it - those are costs I have to absorb and the same should of course be the case for the oil companies, especially in the light of historical profits. A British newspaper goes as far as calling the profits obscene and I have to admit that I agree completely.

Now things are so bad that truckers are going on strike. When I came to this country I learned an expression which is “If you bought it, a trucker brought it”. If that’s true, I’d say it’s safe to say we’re in some deep shit. Not counting the fact that we’re at war that nobody wants to talk about, not mentioning the fact that our health care system is worse than that of Cuba, now we will soon all notice the change in this country. To me something very drastic has to happen, because the way things are going it seems the government is just going to ruin this country and then leave to Dubai to join Dick Cheney at his new corporate headquarter.

What’s very interesting is that those people who have the audacity of questioning other people’s patriotism, see no problem in taking the tax revenue of a company and moving it away. Behind closed doors the business men all know - patriotism is just a word that they can sell to the American people. While the common man/woman busts his/her ass to get by, the big companies are enjoying all the tax loop holes and incentives they can, maximizing their profit and stripping themselves from more and more pesty costs such as health care and other benefits.

Once again I have to say, I came to this country in 1999 and since then I can safely say that things have downhill at an extremely sharp angle. To all the people that aren’t paying attention to what the crooks in Washington are doing to us, I hope you will realize when you can’t afford to drive your SUV anymore, when you can’t take your kids to the make belief world called Disney World anymore and when all the luxuries you’ve come so accustomed to are gone, maybe then you will get up and raise your fist and say you’ve had enough.

Until then, I’ll be here.
