Of course we can solve our energy crisis, however the main problem is that it isn’t really a crisis, it’s a situation that was started by the United States Government. Cheney held his secret Energy summit where he most likely made some incredible deals -- for him and the companies. What followed was one of the biggest rip offs in US history when it comes to the Federal Government being complicit in a scheme that cost California billions in dollars, coupled with power outages during a time where the weather was extremely warm.
The EPA is littered with Bush Cronies, and various other Government agencies which are supposed to help when it comes to the regulation of federal mandates have turned a blind eye to a lot of offenses. One can only wonder how many inventions were published in the past 8 years only to be squashed by the EPA, the department of agriculture or which ever department would be responsible. The funny part in all this of course is that there already used to be an electric car on the market, but instead of pursuing future goals, Chrysler took them off the market again. Doesn’t really show a lot of foresight fro a business standpoint if you ask me. If they hadn’t scratched the project 10 years ago, today we might be looking at models that are superior to the first one we saw when the first electric cars were released.
Again, yes we can solve it, but will they let us?
