I know we can’t really blame students for the fact that US education system is a complete joke - at least the public school system. Because so many are lacking the historical context, I’m going to try to bring up some facts of history to underline what’s currently going on. Here’s a short video of nixon explaining at the time, that when the president does something it’s not illegal.

Then, over the weekend George Bush was featured on Chris Wallace’s show on Fox News and he actually takes Nixon’s comments a bit further by saying that anything they had done was legal.

We have to be very clear here that what’s currently going on in our government is so far beyond what is considered legal it’s not even normal anymore. When Nixon get impeached, it was because it was discovered that he had had the Democratic opponents’ offices equipped with listening devices. That was “it” - that’s all it took and he was out of office.
The Republicans wanted to impeach Bill Clinton for lying about a damn blow job. I hope to some deity that which ever Democratic nominee makes it, they spend a good time going back and bringing all the crooks to justice who are tearing this country down.
