Careing About Dead Puppies And Murdered Co-Eds

by Arno on March 6, 2008

Turning on the news today is a real joy again. I don’t really watch TV at home unless I’m fixing something to eat at which point I always find it entertaining to hear noise out of the moving picture box. During my night shift that’s a different story though. Tonight it’s hard to keep the volume on because that dumb Nancy Grace on CNN is spewing feces from her mouth so quick it’s hard not to get annoyed.

I would say consider yourself lucky if reporting like Puppies being thrown from a cliff doesn’t get you annoyed. I’m not talking about the disgrace the solider has brought onto his unit with his action (lol..disgrace) I’m talking about the fact that someone at CNN compiled all the headlines for the day and moreover which ones to report on, and the main headlines for the show are a college student getting murdered and a soldier in Hawaii tossing a puppy off a cliff.

Don’t get me wrong, I love dogs - I actually have one but I don’t turn on the news to hear about them. If i want to hear about anything animal related I turn on Animal Planet. When I turn on a “24 hour news agency” I want to see news. This reminds me very much of the low class type reporting fox news does. I guess all news agencies report this complete trash. I mean you have to think about it for a second to realize how crazy it is to allot any of your airtime to this. We have over 160,000 troops in Iraq, probably another 30-40000 in Afghanistan. South America just saw a major incident happen that may have consequences for the entire region, if not the entire world. Nothing on TV about that right now.

Watching the news just pisses me off every day, I do end up turning it off and resorting to talk radio. Thanks the heavens for liberal talk radio which seems to be one of the last areas where things are said how they are.
