I personally think Rove has been an editor or behind-the-scenes type of supporter of fox news ever since George W. Bush got “elected“. If you look at his career and the type of political involvement he’s practiced throughout his life time I think it’s pretty easy to see why Fox News has brought him on board. For the primary coverage on Fox they are now using him in front of the camera, instead of in the editor’s room.
To me it’s a clear sign of the fact that Fox is steadily loosing viewers in the light of many people realizing what a conglomerate of ignorance and propaganda that channel is. Beyond that I’ve been done some research on the internet and came across this website gives information on how TV ratings work and it shows that CNN realistically was never crushed by Fox News as it was claimed by various media outlets. To me personally, the higher the ratings for a “news” network such as Fox News the lower the level of education in this country.
So now we have Karl Rove sitting on Fox News as a “Fox News Contributor” where I’m very convinced he could actually be signing their paychecks. Karl Rove represents just about every negative aspect we find in politics today.
I’d like to also take a moment to explain that I’m by no means in favor of CNN news. Their reporting is far behind when it comes to my expectations towards serious journalism. I personally don’t care for the commentary of anyone on a news network unless they have credible experience or went to school for it. I give a rats ass what Lou Dobbs, Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer or any of the other talking heads say, because they are forced to talk about issues that are unimportant. today’s example of this was that they showed a report on a German family dropping a baby out of a burning house. Who cares? Wouldn’t it make a lot more sense to report something on Germany that matters? How about reporting on the fact that German car manufacturers such as Mercedes, Daimler, VW build cars that are much more efficient and healthier for the environment. That of course doesn’t interest anyone, however it gives the people of this land some perspective on the rest of the world which they need so very badly.
To me, as a spectator when gulf war I went on, CNN in germany had the same reputation Fox News does today. The footage shown to people around the world was the same type of footage you see today. Video clips that could be used for the Armed Forces’ ad campaign. Videos of laser guided bombs hitting their targets - no pictures of the despair caused by the fighting, etc.
