Maddow Schools Scarborough

by Arno on April 7, 2008

It feels nice to see reason and superior argumentational skills be added to the MSNBC cader. If you watch the video and listen exactly to what Rachael Maddow is saying, it’s quite clear she’s just conducting a normal argument. When she tries to comment on John McCain, Scarborough cuts her off and tells her she has no knowledge of the deeper parts of the Republican party. As she continues over his interruptions, you can hear him say “whatever Rachael” - I say whatever too sometimes but I think if I were on TV I’d spare the audience of this clear sign of not having a good reply.

Rachael then continues to show very clearly how John McCain has done a 180 on most of the strong issues he stands for and again you can hear Scarborough in the back saying “for the love of god rachael” - for the love of god what? for the love of god stop making me look like an idiot? or would the completion of that sentence say “for the love of god you come on this show, yes I know Keith always has you on as commentator, but for the love of god this is a men’s conversation and not some get together of the Gay and Lesbian group” - yes of course that quoted part was purely made up but I wonder how far from the truth it really is.

All I can say is that it’s extremely refreshing to see someone like Rachael Maddow on MSNBC who obviously hasn’t been in the TV business for very long. What I do know from her own show on Air America is that she’s a work horse that doens’t stop short of the truth. With someone like her on the air you could be sure that no garbabe reports would be going over her lips, nor would she hold back in discussions - as seen in the video.
