Glenn Beck quite frankly has alwas been over the top and after his various complete embarrassments of recent times, it’s hard to comprehend why this moron even still gets air time. Here’s the episode where he talks from his hospitcal bed. His most recent completely  ludicrous project is titled.

Recently he also founded the “912 Project” to remind us all where we were the day after 9/11 which quite frankly I think is such a farce, that I don’t even know where to begin. I watched a few seconds of the first show, or the one where he cried and after nearly filling to bag with vomit I had to switch the channel, otherwise risking severe damages to my health.

Here’s the bottom line: We live in a free speech society and aside from certain extreme remarks, we can’t really control what people say. It always comes back to those who broadcast it and which standards they themselves apply to the content they broadcast. Unfortunately, quality doesn’t always outway the benefits of high viewership so we find the TV stations filled with whatever they feel attracts the most amount of viewers. In the case of Glenn Beck I believe that most semi rational people agree that he’s a buffoon. That doesn’t change the fact that network decided to put him on, because he pulls a certain amount of viewers which in return means higher revenue.

Until networks decide with some kind of responsbility towards journalism, which type of characters to put on their networks and which ones to leave at the door, we the viewers are left to bare the burden of ignorance. With people in the “media” such as Glenn Beck our media landscape continues to be one that can only compare to the white trailer trash it seems to be geared at.
