A Luxury Car That Goes From 0-60 In 4.7 Seconds : The All New 2011 Infiniti M56
The competition is steep and many manufacturers have a vehicle in the full size luxury sedan segment. The Infiniti M56 is up against the best in the luxury segment from BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Lexus and Acura just to name a few. The previous generation M56 was formally known as the M45 and was not very popular with car shoppers. Again, this is one cramped niche and Infiniti did not do enough to set the M45 apart from the rest of the pack. But, maybe this has all changed for the current model year.
Infiniti’s largest and most powerful luxury sedan was normally overshadowed by its little brother the G35 and G37. For 2011 the Infiniti M56 has a base price of $58,000. The M56 has been tightened and buttoned up, it now has the fit and finish the Germans have been known for, and Infiniti has also manned up to produce a V8 engine worthy of its German Luxury rivals. With 420 hp available the M56 surpasses the 60mph mark in a mere 4.7 seconds. For comparison last year’s model took almost a full second longer to reach a 60 mph. The Infiniti M56 out accelerates all its rivals in this area.
Gripes about past versions have always begun with how rough the ride is. But, Infiniti created a luxury ride even though the car is meant to handle. 20-inch rims, firm springs, and double-piston shocks. If this sounds like the vehicle would be a rough ride, it does not. With the new M56 you have the option to select four different modes. The Eco mode is there to save gasoline, The Snow mode is self explanatory, the standard mode is regular all around drive setting, and finally The Sport mode improves all power, throttle and shift strategies for optimal performance.
Opt for the $3k technology package and you get some cool stuff; like a lane departure prevention system, blind spot alert, and radar adaptive cruise control which when set keeps the same difference between you and the car in front no matter the speed. There is also a $3800 touring package which adds extras such as a Bose stereo system, wood trim, and a cabin air system which in essence is just a fan that blows air at random speeds like the tropical setting on your fan at home. The final optional package is the Big Daddy Sport Package. At $3600 this pricey package comes with four wheel steering, a sporty suspension, huge 20 inch rims with summer tires, and a trick sport Steering Wheel.
In the performance department The Infiniti M56 kicks butt. The 400 hp V-8 can rocket the M56 zero to 60 4.7 seconds as aforementioned, and the quarter mile is reached in 13.4 seconds, which is only a tiny bit slower than the awesome Ford Mustang GT and the Camaro SS muscle car. All that muscle wrapped in a luxury car. The M56 can also post a 0.86g on skid pad.
Compared to its rivals the Lexus GS460, Jaguar XF, and the Mercedes E550, The M56 trumps them all. Only downside is the M56 is also the most expensive of the group. It can out accelerate, outbrake and out corner the best. Plus, the Infiniti M56 has the best fuel economy in the class. Now more than ever has the full sized luxury sedan from Infiniti become a serious contender.

Deciding what to buy Muscle Car
Say you have decided to buy a classic car muscle, and perhaps you and your plan to restore the family and go to the local car shows, but since it's your first car muscle car ask you why you should buy, it really depends on you, but I'll give a few tips.
First, you may want a car you've always wanted, most people have some choice about what they like in a muscle car, but if this is your first restoration, you might consider some things, it is not intended to influence one way or another, it is good to know.
If you work with a budget that can help you make your decision, there are some things to consider if you work on a budget, first Mopar cars are expensive to restore, parts are hard to find many time and people know what they want for themselves.
I restored 1970 Dodge Charger R / T for a client for a while, we need to control arms upper and lower front suspension, it follows that at the time, no one sold on the market after that, so we went looking for some used, and are priced at $ 800.00 each, which is $ 3,200.
They have just do not build many Mopar muscle cars, and in the end market, so they are very rare and hard to find, and that means more money to restore, But enough about that, I will discuss some key points to think about to get his muscle car.
I'll see some questions that can be good for the experience of restoring a car for the first time, these are things that can answer some questions on cars are harder to get for restoration For first, these things are going to do with the restoration of the body.
First, if You Want to start with the cat is the easiest to restore I would say you should look for in a first or second generation Camaro, let me explain why I say that, first when you restore a car, the first thing you after you receive it, is to build a parts list you need.
The first thing the Camaro can get almost everything you need in the market after most of them are available to you, and for this reason that you can get parts for great prices, so you can adjust your budget a little better.
Only if a Camaro is not your idea of the perfect car to restore, I'm going to cover some of the problems of the body as Ford, Chevy and Mopar had, and this will help you to decide the idea of the perfect car to restore.
The first is the Camaro, this applies to the first or second generation Camaro, you should always inspect the body of a classic car before buying, especially if restoration work is first, what I do here explain the problem areas in each car.
First I would like to find a body work bad, because this is one reason why a car rust, make sure you have a book with your notes to document what is in each car, and the use of notes to compare the cars to find the better for you to start.
Camaro types of problems: It is a general problem area Chevrolet, like most the classic Chevrolet Camaro and corrosion in the lower panels, and it is an important part of the body or structure, if you see the rust should be replaced.
Side panels just below the doors on any car, take your time as you inspect, make sure you do not miss anything will happen in front of the car and take a look at the crib, and the area of the engine compartment of the car.
Chassis and the compartment Engine: The sub-frame of most Camaros is really not subject to corrosion, but always check that the area was to concentrate the radiator support, and a firewall, you should also look at the wheel, but I never found a source of problems.
Floors: This can be a problem for a conventional car, but that seems to affect less than the Camaro Mustang, Mopar and most, if I always put the car in an elevator and look at the floor, these are areas that can restore it for the first time a pain in the ass.
Rear wheel wells: This is another area you should look at all the classic cars, the rear wheels of the car, and therefore tend to throw more stones in the wheel wells, the chip inside the hand and leads him to rust, so you should always look at these.
If you look at the wheel and I do not see any problems, be sure to open the trunk and see from there too, rust can not hide that there are going to see if it's there, take the torch and make sure consider this very well, these can be another problem for a restoration project for the first time.
This covers the important things for the Camaro both first generation and second generation of them, now for some other reason, while the availability of parts to say the Camaro is easier for the restoration project for the first time.
A simple dish, the Camaro has a removable cradle, technically, the other to do, but you to drill the spot welds that hold them in the car to take part in the camaro is a four bolts, and it is actually very easy to remove.
Besides the Ford Mustang is probably one of the most popular muscle cars ever built, and has some areas that need to be analyzed before you buy, is neither better nor worse than any other option, just think of your skill level, but this applies to all.
Mustang problem areas:
Sub frame and engine compartment: Mustangs are known for oxidation in the radiator support, and if you can not patch the rust and leave the original piece in the car, you spend time spot welding drill to remove the radiator support, in my opinion it is more difficult to restore a Camaro.
You also want to pay special attention to the side skirts in the engine compartment is where the wings bolt on the car, oxidation Mustang loved there, and again this can not be removed without drilling spot welds, which is why I say take the skill level into consideration.
Floors: Revenant, the floor is a problem area in most classic cars, you should always watch them, I think the Mustang has a problem worse than the Camaro when it comes rust hardwood flooring.
Lower panels: Over the years, I noticed that they are not really big deal in the Mustang, but should still look at them, and as the Camaro, if you find rust at all, it's time to replace them, no doubt.
Rear wheel wells: As with most of these cars are a problem, you should always watch them, if they can see very well just by looking at the side, open the chest and look there, the mold can not hide from your eyes there.
Trunk floors: This is another area seems to be pretty solid the mustang, I do not see here a lot of rust, but it happens and you need to inspect it, this takes care of the problems of the Mustang, and should help you decide what car to buy.
Dodge Charger Problem areas: As for the rust on the body seem to have trouble Mopar worse than any other brand of classic cars, this is by no means Mopar ban, which I love, these are just observations of the cars I restored.
Mopar problem areas:
Chassis and the engine compartment: The battery charger is on the passenger side of the engine compartment, and these cars still rust in the battery tray is also rust on the top of the flaps, where the bolt on the wings car, and moderate in the front wheel wells.
The radiator support seems to be pretty good, most of them have a small capable of oxidizing patch or two holes in the radiator support, and after they usually do not find more problems in this area seems Mopar does a good job protecting radiator panels floor support.:
It is a big problem in the body B car, the charger was restored, it was with floors is not it, this seems like a fairly normal thing, then you should look at the floor in any Mopar Muscle Car.
Lower panels: I have not found these to be a big problem at all in the Most Mopar lower panels seem reasonably good, but as I always say, this does not mean you should not look at them, and like the other two cars above, if you find any rust, replace the rear wheel wells.:
This is an area that should never be left in inspection of a Mopar muscle car, I found this to be a big problem in recent years to restore cars, and I think it will be, so please look closely.
Trunk floors: It is, in my opinion the worst part of a Mopar muscle car, and should always be replaced, you should look to see if they have already replaced, and if you plan to do during the restoration of your car.
Tail lights: These cars also seem to have a problem with rust in the field of lighting, most often in the curve below the taillights, but you should check with a lot of attention around the area of the backlight, and the plan in certain work and repair.
Well that's it, I really hope that helps you make an informed decision when shopping for a car muscle first restoration project, I love writing these articles, and I hope that helps you in your way of your dreams for classic cars.
