VIN Decoder classic Mustangs - the key to finding parts Mustang

You have decided to restore the classic Mustang, or search for restoration, but how do you know which parts of the Mustang pony car in particular is out of line? Know the identification number of the vehicle - VIN guide the discovery of what was installed in the Mustang when it was new. Speaking only to restore a classic Mustang, these codes cover only which is considered the first generation Mustang, 1965-1973.

Discovery VIN plate is the first step. The first two models have the VIN of the year in the chapel on the edge of the wing driver's side, VIN 1968 models displayed at the base of the windshield where it meets the dashboard on the passenger side, while the models show by VIN on the driver's side. The identification plate can also be nailed to the jamb of the driver's side door. The data plate contains a large amount of information. If you can find your original Mustang can determine the original color, style adjustment, the date on which it was made, the number of the district office sales, the identification of the rear axle and transmission. If the information the VIN plate is different VIN plate in the defense or the windshield, you should investigate further. Search online for Mustang VIN decoders and data of the plate to help decipher the information your classic Mustang.
