It’s 6:24 AM and I’m watching Morning Joe on MSNBC. Joe Scarborough, although I don’t agree with his arguments most of the time, is at least someone I can listen to because he’s credible. He served in the Florida State Congress, why he left and landed on MSNBC I don’t know. What I do know is this. George W. Bush had less experience in Politics than my Mom does with computers and my Mom can barely move her mouse over the screen without causing severe errors.
The argument Joe Scarborough is making is that Obama doesn’t have any experience. The next argument he made was that you would never go to a Doctor that only has one year of experience. Really bad comparison there. Politicians aren’t craftsmen. They don’t learn a trade, they learn a way of life. The way of life being how to fill your pockets with the money from lobbyists without comprising their public image. I personally don’t think it makes any difference whether the President has any experience in Politics. JFK didn’t have 30 years in Politics on his back and I don’t think he had a huge legislative record that would make him seem experienced enough in the eyes of Joe Scarborough.
To me it seems, emphasis on seems that Obama could do what many people don’t think he can and that’s bringing people to the table. He could be the candidate for change and if he doesn’t have the experience he needs in politics, then his advisors and cabinet could fill in the gap. Does anyone really think that retarded mind of our president is ever left alone making a decision? Of course not. Let’s be serious here for one minute - if George Bush was the boss of your company would you honestly believe he’s making any mission critical decisions? Hell no. The logical answer to that would be that either the VP or his wife are running the company. Just like with our country. Does anyone really believe he has the codes for the nukes? No way. I’m sure those are in safe (*cough) hands with Dick Cheney.
I actually think Barack Obama has more experience in Politics and he’s definitely not as ridden with failure as G.W. Bush is/was. George Bush never earned anything - he got it handed to him. The things he got handed to him failed (google his oil company, or his time in office as governor of texas) and then out of some reason he ended up as the presidential nominee and in the end was responsible for splitting this country apart, not uniting it. He’s a decider, and a bad one at that. Considering his failure and inadequacy it’s hilarious to say that Obama isn’t qualified enough.
