Since 940 WINZ, a local radio station down here in South Florida has decided to yank one of the last sources of reliable information off the air, I’m starting a campaign directed towards the advertisers, to let them know I’m organizing a boycott against them since they’re advertising on 940 WINZ. Numbers are the only thing that counts for these companies, so let’s make sure these numbers go down. Just like I will by products I hear on a station I like, I will boycott those that support reckless actions, such as the one put on display by 940 WINZ, which is owned by Clear Channel.
They keep telling us that liberal radio isn’t profitable - have you ever thought about the fact that radio landscape was vastly changed after the communications act passed by Bill Clinton? Less and less companies own more and more radio stations and markets, so very quickly it become very easy to control all the air waves.
I’m sick of the utter disrespect companies like Clear Channel have for listeners, and it’s time to make their advertisers realize that this will not stand!!!

I think it would be more fair and effective to boycott those companies that advertize during the Imus show that WINZ chose to replace the Nicole Sandler show with! Why punish advertizers who’s ads run during liberal shows? JMHO! YMMV!
I am so angry when they canceled Nicole’s programs, today I was furious they put the stupid sport program on in the middle of Tom ’s program and none what so ever of Randie ’s show!
I was listening to WINZ yesterday October 18th when Nicole was supposed to be on Thom Hartman and they played the previous days show. I was not aware at the time that Nicole was filling in for Thom. I did try to listen to Thom on line but got the same show. Did anyone else notice this as well?
