I went to stock car races with my aunt and uncle and saw the Viking and Reo. We had a Henry J, and it was ugly, but it sure purred like a kitten. The '49 Hudson looked like a big bug.
The Viking and Reo , both "boxy", looked like a Model T.
The stock car races were local. I don't know that there was any "official" racing done with these cars. I rode from Illinois to West Va. in my uncle's brand new Hudson. I thought it was "neat" at the time. (I still like the "tanks". I feel safer in them).

An industrial icon....Started working at age 13, and owned his first business at age 20....There was never a stopping point to the man until his death....He was involved in "impossible" engineering projects all over the world, and during WW2, built shipyards to supply "Liberty Ships" to transport war materiel to the troops....Everything he did, turned out to be newer, better, and faster than anyone else....He introduced to world to "pre-fabrication", and it worked so well, that his shipyard holds the world's record of laying a keel, and launching a ship in 4 days 15 hours....Truly a genius, and an engineer that was self taught, and wrote the book on innovation.......

The general definition of vintage cars in the United States refer to cars that are more than twenty years and produced before the Second World War, but in the UK refer to cars that are almost a hundred years and also known as vintage cars. They were in fashion, just after the end of World War II world. Although very elegant and striking his time, which sold very well for a couple of years, but sales began to fall sharply, until 1954, dealers could not give.
