I can almost not believe it that we’re going to have the first Black President in US History. I mean I’m an optimist and when talking to family members over the past few months I kept assuring them that too many people are going to go out and vote, making it very hard for criminals such as Karl Rove to steel it, and fortunately I was right. I’m honestly not sure what I would have done if McCain had won, the implications of such a victory would have been devastating for my view of the world.

Support Bachmann’s Opponent Elwyn Tinklenberg
At least one good thing has come from Bachmann’s comments on Matthews’ Hardball on Friday, particularly the part where her political opponent Elwyn Tinklenberg has seen a surge of dontations following Bachmann’s appearance. The link still shows donations worth $450,000 but from what I’m hearing in the media this has already risen to 1,000,000. If we have this kind of reaction of Democrats after such hideous remarks, I’m almost hoping for more of this because the American people don’t seem to want to see this type of rhetoric on national television.

It’s Getting Ugly Out There, McCain Feeds The Blood Hounds
As far as I’m concerned McCain can pack his bags and go home and finally retire. Nothing coming out of his campaign shines a good light on him and the incidents during recent campaign events are showing that Steve Schmidt and others who are running his campaign simply have nothing left in their toolbox of dirty tricks.
As you can see (I mean hear) in the clip, someone answers to McCain’s statements with a badly audible “Kill Him” and I personally heard another clip where he was called an Arab, and a Terrorist.

Palin, Clueless
Does it get any better than that?

My Election Efforts
I have come to the realization that nothing I do on this blog will bring any additional people to the polls. Instead of preaching to the choir, it’s time to take actions into our own hands. There is still time for people to register and there is certainly plenty of time to call every person you know and ask them whether they’re registered to vote and are going to actually do it.

McCain Doesn’t Just Need Schooling On The Economy
John McCain admitted himself that he needed to be “educated” on the economy. Not exactly what I would call reassuring when you consider that the economy is one of the most important issues to most voters. It’s safe to say that most people actually consider the economy and the War in Iraq as the most important issues overall. McCain already admitted that he basically is in the dark on the economy, but why is it that he repeatedly proves that he’s also rather clueless when it comes to the War? He has to have turncoat Lieberman correct him, as even Fox News reported themselves here. Aside from getting Shias and Sunis mixed up, he gets entire time lines wrong and then claims it’s “common knowledge” that the Shia uprising occurred after the beginning of the surge. Watch Jack Cafferty seriously put everything McCain stands for in question in the next video clip. What kind of a dummy is John McCain anyway? Would you campaign for a party that annihilated you politically just 8 years earlier?

Arguing With Idiots
As recently reported in this survey, 12% of Americans think that Obama is a muslim. Since there was never information about him available before the Presidential primary season, it’s very easy to track the origin of the misinformation.- The GOP. Most everything that was publicized negatively about Barack, was largely exaggerated and misinterpreted. I’m at the point where I’m not sure how much sense it makes to talk about this issue with a large part of this country, due to their complete lack of information on the topic and ultimately their refusal to educate themselves independently of what they already know.

Is Obama Pandering Or Being Extremely Smart?
The so called “left wing” blogsphere seems up in arms about Obama’s recent comments on the FISA bill, the overturn of the ban on handguns in Washington D.C. and most recently his statements about the commitment to strengthen the faith-based initiatives. I think what many people are forgetting is the fact that nothing the candidates say in the primaries is binding. Everyone is getting so caught up in his sudden change and I’m thinking to myself whether that’s really what’s going on. Of course my guess is as good as anyone’s but if I were him I think it would do it exactly like that.

New Video Of Cafferty Calling Out CNN
Wow I think I totally missed everything by Cafferty up to now. I never really paid attention to him since I don’t really pay attention to most talking heads on TV but man he must really not care about this paycheck or have tenure, I’m not sure.

McCain Doesn’t Care About The Environment
As a resident of Florida this issue is of course very important to me. I’ve been doing my own research about the fact that the state of Florida is looking at a serious disaster type scenario, if proper actions aren’t taken very soon and I came across this article that shows clearly what the problems are we’re facing and what the history of events has been that has lead up to this.
It’s all the more alarming and yet not a great surprise to me that Republican presidential nominee John McCain shows that he cares very little about the environment.
If you listen to the details of the report, the part McCain has a problem with is out of control spending and the reason he supposedly opposed the passing of the bill was because too many ear marks were attached to it. The only problem with the reasoning there is the fact that the part of the bill that includes the actual spending had nothing to do with the initial passage.
This, among others is another reason why another Republican president will undoubtedly cause more havoc for the environment, an issue many Republicans seem to care about so very little.
