Yes I called this country stupid. Deal with it, it’s a fact. It’s either stupid or extremely oblivious to what’s going on around it. In 2000, Karl Rove managed to get so much mud on McCain that he lost the primary to then governor George W. Bush. You can read an interview with McCain from 2004 where he talks about the dirty campaign waged on him here. Now it’s 2008 and you can actually see Karl Rove on TV talking about John McCain’s compassion, and cites the very sample example that he used to discredit McCain now to make him look good.
You have to be completely drugged up as a Journalist (rephrase: person working at TV station) not to ask Rove directly when you’re interviewing him whether he believes everyone is that stupid that they would believe the bullshit coming out of his mouth. I mean I thought it was all about ratings - wouldn’t you get very high ratings if you started to ask some extremely difficult questions? Here’s one for any person interviewing Rove in the future: Are you for real? Do you really think we’re this stupid? Just 8 years ago you said McCain fathered an illegitimate child, that his wife was drug addicted - but now that McCain is the candidate to support you turn the story around? Get outttta here.
I’m not sure what makes me more angry, the fact that he dares to say that , or the fact that he can just get away with that. It’s stunning. Hope I’m not the only one thinking this…
