Less cluck, more egg. Why should I do all the talking, when this video sums it the best?

Is anything either of the Democratic Presidential Hopefuls says binding? Not at all. Do either of the candidates have any records pushing for the topics they now stand behind so strongly? Also negative. Let us be very clear on what’s going on here. It’s called sweet talk. Not straight-talk, not genuine-talk - but sweet talk. The story you give your Mom when you’re trying to go out again on a Friday night though she’s skeptical. “Of course I’ll be home before 1:00AM, no I won’t drink any alcohol, of course I won’t smoke pot Mom!” We’ve all been there - or the most of us I would say. This is exactly what we’re currently seeing with the Democratic Candidates. Hillary seems to be willing to say anything that will advance her cause.
When it comes to pulling our troops out of Iraq - she says yes to everything. Will you pull out our troops when you become President? “Yes!” - will you leave troops in the country? “Yes!” Will we have to keep a certain contigent of troops there to protect American interests? “Yes”. I would love to be the person asking the questions here because I would follow up with “Can you define what American interests are?” and secondly, “how can you claim that you’re going to pull our troops out of the country where we’re building the largest US embassy in the world there?”.
Of course to neither of the questions would we receive a straight up answer, because Politicians are trained not to answer questions. The reason for this is the fact that straight answers would reveal too much of the truth. The discrepancy between what Politicians say and what’s really going on is usually very stark. The feeling that I’m getting here is that neither of them are really going to do what they say, and there isn’t a thing we can about it. It’s not like Candidates have to fill out a form with all the points they plan to address and we can reference that at a later point in time. Instead what we get is the usual sweat talk that’s starting to piss me off more and more as the days go on.
I was listening to the Bill Press radio show this morning and either he or someone else said something that I believe to be true for myself. When the Primary Campaigns started, the notion I got from the people I spoke to was that any Democratic Candidate would suffice. Now however myself and many others feel slightly different about that. The reason in my case is the fact that the candidates that spoke the most truth, aren’t in the race anymore. What’s more, the candidates remaining aren’t speaking about any truly problematic issues. What about the invasion of privacy? What about the fact that our military is in shambles? Why isn’t the blackwater issue more of a topic? Because those are issues that you can’t get a majority of people behind you. They are controversial issues and they require someone to take a hard stance - a stance that most presidential candidates aren’t willing to take at this point because I’m sure that pollsters are telling them not to.
To sum it up I think it’s safe to say that many people are looking at the Primaries and are thinking that we’re being fooled, once again.

It’s March 10 in a presidential campaign that promises to go on much longer than anyone needs or cares for. With McCain as the Republican nominee we have nothing else to look for besides the actual Presidential campaign. When the primaries began, I was of the opinion that any candidate will be an improvement on what we currently have in place with George W. Bush and realistically that hasn’t changed much. What if the Democrats lose though? That’s the question that’s going on in my head.
It’s hard to find any measures where the Democrats have been decisive since the successful campaign of 2004. Instead what we find is that Obama and Clinton are starting to waste their energy on each other. If Hillary really only had the best in store for the country, she wouldn’t consider redoing the primaries in Florida. When some of the states held their primaries early, knowing that the delegate count wouldn’t be taken into consideration for the overall election I don’t recall Hillary crying for a recount. At the time it was a nice opportunity for her to show a fake win, which is what the Florida primary election ended up being since Obama didn’t even campaign in that state.
I’ve heard the argument on various websites and radio shows, which is that instead of attacking each other, the Democratic candidates should focus their attention on John McCain. The democratic party needs to unite and not show how it can devour itself. Hillary Clinton then said a few days ago that John McCain has a lifetime of experience, just as she does and that Obama only had a speech. Unless I’m not understanding the gist of this comment I think it means that both Clinton and McCain have the experience needed and Obama doesn’t. So that means that Hillary would be OK with McCain being president since he has the experience needed. I thought she only wanted the best for the country? Or is it all about her? I think the answer to this question is obvious. The candidates are in a race to win and unfortunately what will happen is that people will get sick of the democrats before the actual Presidential campaign. Rarely has there been such opportunity to take over the steering wheel from an incapable driver yet I fear that this might not happen out of whatever reason.
I seriously have to debate whether I’m going to stay in this country if we get Bush 3.0 (McCain). I’m very concerned about the fact that neither of the current Democratic candidates are spending a lot of time talking about all the measures that have to be reversed. From the Partiot Act, to the Military Commissions Act, various Tax cuts. Realistically the next President has to be spend years just repealing everything that was brought upon this country. Instead, Clinton is spending her time trying to discredit Obama.

Would you be OK with it if your child was treated like this?

I don’t have kids, but if I did and my child had been treated like this I would go to every extent to make sure that officers career is ruined. I mean I would put a concerted effort into exposing his behavior and I would make an example of the that he is the one that’s practicing disrespect. As far as I’m concerned the officer is violating the 1st Amendment which reads:
” Freedom of religion, speech, press, and assembly; the right to petition the government.”
To me it looks like some teenagers assembling. Then they get harrassed by an officer who’s main problem is that they don’t respect him. If cops keep acting like such creatins, it’s no wonder they get gunned down. Ask any of your friends - everyone has a story on how they or someone they knew were harrassed unreasonably. It’s the whole mentality of “respect the police” that bothers me. I’ll respect the police when the police earns my respect. Not any earlier.
In Hillsboro, Fla. a Quadriplegic was ejected from his wheelchair and tossed on the ground before him. Another way the police is showing their respect and moreover how their protecting and serving their community.

Just a little reminder that we’re still at war. We’re not liberating anyone, nor have we. We’ve brought death, destruction, hunger, lack of power and water, rapes, and more to this country. “But they are much better off now” according to all the neocon wingnuts. The projected toital cost of this war currently are projected at around 1.5 trillion. One more time - one-point-five-trillion-dollars. So while our troops are destroying a country by their mere presence, while our troops are standing by while the Taliban again have re-erected their opium production, while we’re breeding more terrorists than we could possible kill in Iraq or else where in the world - people are loosing their houses - Veterans are loosing their benefits, returning soldiers don’t get the care that they deserve. I wrote a post a few days ago about the upcoming DVD “no end in sight” and I must tell you - it’s depressing.
It’s depressing to see how these incompetent crooks are leading this country straight down a road of disaster. Everything they stand for: security, fiscal responsibility, less government - it’s amazing that any Republican even dares to utter those words.
I’m just ranting here…

Hillarious I tell you. Not really that funny considering all the comments are coming from a so called “News Agency” however for Sean Hannity to call anyone an intellectual light weight is just funny. It’s like me calling the current World Champion of Weight Lifting a wuss. I’m not saying that Edwards is a world champing of anything but I hope you catch my drift here. When journalists start opening up for political campaigns, I think we can safely say that indepence of the “press” has gone away. Of course we already thought that when we had embedded journalists, and when we found out the government actually produces fake news to show the citizens of this country so they think the war and everything else is going fine.
Watch the video and somebody tell me why Obama and Edwards would give Fox the time of day considering the way they talk about either of them.

I always thought CNN was bad and I remember complaining during Gulf War I that the coverage we got fed was merely a sponsored ad by the military industrial complex. Now, over a decade later we have an even more biased, less critical channel called Fox News and I wonder when these idiots are going to wake up from their dream of raising the right hand and joining behind their Fuehrer.

For all of you that haven’t done your homework I thought I’d help you out a little bit today by filling you in on the history of war profiteering that the Bush family has been engaged in since WWII. For many people that live in this country presidents are just presidents and all they see is what’s being presented to them by the media.
If you were to do research on our various presidents throughout time not many of them can compare to what the bush crime family are bringing to the table. Let’s take a step back in time and see what George W. Bush’s grandfather was up to.
George Bush: The Unauthorized Biography — by Webster G. Tarpley & Anton Chaitkin
In October 1942, ten months after entering World War II, America was preparing its first assault against Nazi military forces. Prescott Bush was managing partner of Brown Brothers Harriman. His 18-year-old son George, the future U.S. President, had just begun training to become a naval pilot. On Oct. 20, 1942, the U.S. government ordered the seizure of Nazi German banking operations in New York City which were being conducted by Prescott Bush.
Under the Trading with the Enemy Act, the government took over the Union Banking Corporation, in which Bush was a director. The U.S. Alien Property Custodian seized Union Banking Corp.’s stock shares, all of which were owned by Prescott Bush, E. Roland “ Bunny ” Harriman, three Nazi executives, and two other associates of Bush.
What you see here is George’s grandpa’s involvement with the Nazis and the United State Government’s action to stop these operations. The biograhy goes onto to stating that the stopping of these action came too late as Prescott Bush had already substantially helped fund the Nazi’s war effort in Europe.
Now I don’t know about you folks, but my Grandfather did far less spectacular things and I must say I’m happy about that. How would I be able to live with myself knowing that he traded with the enemy, in this case brutal murders, managers of concentration camps and countless other atrocities.
So I guess what we have now is just a logical continuation of Prescott Bush managed to establish during WWII. As Eisenhower said, “be careful of the military industrial complex” - he was probably referring to Bush. I’m definitely not the first person to be reporting about thsi, but I figure we all have to do what it takes to make people realize that who and what we have in office right now is just a bunch of crooks.

*Yawwwwn* I don’t know if it’s just me. I feel that everything I write about has already been mentioned to some extent somewhere. Then I think to myself, yes it has. However not everyone seems to get it. Lots of people are just not paying enough attention to what’s going on in the world in order to be able to form a valid opinion. Recently I found myself arguing with a friend about the situation in this country. I made the reference to Mussolini’s definition of Fascism dating all the way back to pre WWII times. The rather immediate response was: Well If you don’t like it here then why are you in this country?
