One of the great joys of my childhood was camping with my family. We would go all over the country and have so much fun and build so many great family memories that my brothers and I still talk about today. The hardest part of camping however was the set up and teardown. We cooked over open fires and slept in a tent. It was hard work at times especially during bad weather. But it was always fun.

Growing up in the Texas, having AC was the greatest thing about our travel trailer.

We would travel from Big Bend to Yellowstone, from Corpus Christi to Orlando, stop when we wanted and go where we pleased. After retiring, my folks bought a Class A motor Home, sold their house and traveled full time. I envied the freedom they had so much.

What can I rent to pull a travel trailer on vacation?

I have a 18' travel trailer but nothing to pull it with. The car rental companies won't allow their vehicles to tow. Any ideas where I can rent a comfortable riding SUV/mini-van type vehicle to take a trip in - +/- 4000 miles? Thanks for any ideas.

uhaul may have some options per perhaps be able to recommend a place that can help you out. look for the rental type companies that have more experience moving and hauling.

if i'm not mistaken, i've seen vans at uhaul before.

If you are not interested in leasing an apartment, just check the local newspaper under "rooms for rent" its highly possible that someone has 2 rooms for rent, month to month. Perfect for what you need. I did this in provo with a friend and it was a wonderful experience. Best of luck!
